THE CARE REVIEW AND PINKY PROMISE​
In October 2016, the First Minister made a commitment to figure out how Scotland could love its most vulnerable children. She commissioned the Independent Care Review in 2017 to think about how we could keep that Promise.
The Care Review listened to those with experience of living and working in and around the ‘care system’ to fully understand what needed to change.
The findings of the Scottish Independent Care Review was launched in January 2020 , the main volume was The Promise. The Pinky Promise is the easy read version for children.
