Your Qualifications information

IMPORTANT DATES

SQA Results Day is August 5th 2025

Tuesday 5th August  is Exam Results Day and we wish you the very best of luck!

Please find some information below you may find useful.

If a learner does not receive their exam results or certificate, they should contact the school and ask for Ms McMillan.  (Please have your SCN number available.)  Please wait until after 1pm for delivery by post, if you did not sign up for MySQA.  We will then work with the SQA to find out what has happened to your certificate.

If a learner does not achieve the results they had hoped for, please read the information below.   If you wish to Appeal, you may speak to Ms McMillan for further advice or you can log your Appeal on the SQA website.  However, you must speak to Ms McMillan on your return to school in order to progress your Appeal- there is a form in school you must fill in.  ( see below)

Members of school staff will be available on Tuesday, 5th August between 10am and 1pm to discuss any concerns that our students may have about their SQA results. Please contact the school office on 0300 300 1440 to talk to a staff member

Information for Learners:
You will also find information at:

If you are feeling anxious or stressed about receiving your results tomorrow, SAMH have shared some advice on how to prepare for what can be an emotional day.

APPEALS
SQA Appeals Service
The SQA Appeal Service will operate once students have received their grades. Learners will be able to appeal any of their final grades by requesting a review of their SQA marked assessment components.  In keeping with last year, please note that no additional evidence can be submitted from the school. Appeals 2025 is a free service that students can use if they have concerns about a grade (or grades) on their results certificate. Students can appeal directly to the SQA or ask the school to do so. The Appeal can be prioritised if the student has a conditional place at university or college, or in training or employment that depends on the grade.

What is Appeals 2025?

Please note that alternative assessment evidence will not be looked at. This year an appeal will be considered by a senior marker who will carry out a marking review of the SQA-marked assessments. This is not a re-mark. A marking review checks that: all parts of the SQA-assessments have been marked; the marking is in line with national standards; the marks given for each answer have been totalled correctly; and the correct result has been entered on the SQA system. Please note that after being reviewed, the result could stay the same, go up or go down . Further information can be found here:
 https://www.sqa.org.uk/sqa/79049.html

If a candidate has already logged an Appeal via the SQA website, they should speak to Ms McMillan about proceeding with their Appeal, especially if this is a Priority Appeal ( i.e. required for University or College entry)

National 5: Revision in a Nutshell

http://www.npfs.org.uk/national-5-revision-in-a-nutshell/

These Revision in a Nutshell National 5 subject guides supplement learning and revision in class. They are organised alphabetically, by subject, covering 20 subjects which have exams and for which the SQA has provided relevant past paper questions. Please check with your teacher to ensure that the guides are relevant to you.  The SQA Specimen Paper and the marking instructions are the most important documents to look at – the BBC Bitesize guides are also really helpful and provide different revision materials.  See our Pointers for Parents and Pupils for more information.  Feedback on these is very welcome.   Good luck!
