BGE Social Subjects

S1 and S2

S1 and S2 pupils will study all three Social Subjects.

S1 will complete three blocks, each lasting 13 weeks, rotating around Geography, History and Modern Studies.

S2 will complete three blocks, each lasting 8 weeks then 4 weeks rotating, around Geography, History and Modern Studies.

S3

S3 pupils will choose one or two Social Subjects at the end of S2.

They will be given 3 periods of their chosen subject in S3 and 4 periods in S4.

Pupils will study a BGE topic until October and at this point will commence their National 4/5 work.

In order to support our students learning during this time, Social Subjects teachers have issued work for S1 and S2 through Show My Homework. Pupils will be given work on a weekly basis and this should be completed in their jotters. If students need help they can either email their class teacher or contact them through Show My Homework.

S3 pupils have commenced their National 4/5 work. Every pupil has been added to a Microsoft Team. Work has been issued and will continue to be issued through both Show My Homework and Microsoft Teams. Pupils are being asked to digitally submit their work. When this is not possible all material should be kept in jotters/folders and this work will be checked upon return to school.
