How do I get a card?
Many pupils apply for the card in Primary 7 when we run an annual exercise. Other ways to apply include:
Getyournec.scot: If you're under 16, your parent/guardian must apply online for you.
Local Renfrewshire library: You’ll need a passport-style photo or something similar printed and cut to size. If you're under 16, your parent/guardian must be with you. If you attend a Renfrewshire Council school, we can verify your details against your school record if you like so you don’t need to bring any proof documents. If you aren’t in school in Renfrewshire or have left, you should check the list of proof documents needed to apply. ]
Social Work or other Council support services: Staff can assist if you're already directly supported by Social Work, Home Link, Family Wellbeing, Housing, Throughcare, or live in a Council-supported residential unit for young people. You can also speak with your contact worker if you use INVEST’s employability services.
Youth Services: Ask your Youth Services youth worker to help you apply.
How do I get a replacement card?
If your card is lost, damaged, or not working, email [email protected] with your name, date of birth, and address to request a replacement. You can also get in touch if you need to update your photograph. If you don’t use email you can also call 0300 300 0300. Please note, that only one card can be active at a time, so previous cards will stop working immediately once a replacement is issued. Cards can take up to 10 working days maximum to arrive, though they usually arrive in a few days. Cards are not produced locally and cannot be collected.
