National 5 Design and Manufacture provides a broad and practical experience in product design and manufacture. Learners will develop a broad range of skills in research techniques, product design, planning for manufacture, evaluation techniques, manufacturing skills and workshop safety.
The National 5 Design and Manufacture course has two units the pupils must complete prior to sitting the final assignment and examination. The final grade for the course is marked out of 180 marks as shown below.
